Roe v. Wade
Without a doubt the most sensitive, heart-wrenching portion of my platform. Who am I to decide if life begins at conception? Who am I to decide the destiny of an unborn baby? As much as I have no qualms over deciding the fate of a grown individual, I could not in good conscience pull the plug on an unborn baby. This I will tell you, we have gone overboard in many aspects of life. Sad to say, we have outsmarted ourselves in many ways. The apocalypse will not come from climate change or a pandemic, (unless it is in the form of a bio-weapon) it is most likely to come from weapons of mass destruction or as Elon Musk predicts AI (Artificial Intelligence). In the case of abortion, you could picket this all you want, but trying to change the other side is going to be very difficult. You stand a better chance of asking people to abstain from intercourse, and I think we could all predict the outcome of that. Here is something many of you may not know: Jane Roe, the plaintiff in the landmark abortion case whose real name was Norma McCorvey, became a pro-life activist in her later years.
The 2nd Amendment
The right to bear arms is an important amendment in our constitution. Citizens are entitled to protect their life and property. I would be lying by omission, if I did not say, I have vacillated on the AR15 topic, (Lightweight semi-automatic rifles, used in some school shootings). But in light of all the domestic terror we have witnessed over the past few years, i.e. MS-13 gangs, Antifa, BLM, and home invasions near the border by illegal immigrants, the citizens need to be able to defend themselves to the best of their abilities.
My recommendation to the pro-life activists would be to place your energy toward viable adoption solutions.
Domestic Pets
So flawed, so sinful we are as human beings. Our greed has no boundaries. We have been betrayed throughout our lives by friends, co-workers, foes, family members, and our government. How lovely to come home to our furry companions and be shown unconditional love. Expand the shelters. No-kill for domestic pets and no-kill for just the sake of sport of non-domestic animals. Go watch Planet of the Apes. “It’s not so fun when the rabbit has the gun!”
This concludes my platform for the position of President of the United States of America in 2024.
